About Me

I am Mathew Halpern and you have found my design portfolio. During my career I have had many titles, including User Experience Architect, Human Factors Engineer, Information Architect, and others. Whatever the nomenclature my work is the same, getting to know users and designing interfaces they will use and enjoy.

In 2003 I earned my Masters of Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie-Mellon University. This educational background helps me combine academic rigor in user research and testing, with strong visual design skills, and a geek's technical competence.

In my spare time I like to read make music and dream up ideas for new start-ups.
